This exposition will bring works together of an era in the past that basically started in the early days in Greece and was at its top at the endings of last Century.

From the 23rd of October till the 9th of February 2013 more than forty artists, like Francisco de Goya, Francis Bacon, Man Ray, Pablo Picasso, Gustav Doré, Leonardo da Vinci and Meret Oppenheim, for example, will be presented at the exposition, showing their look upon the developments of the grotesque, figurative and artistic concern in the critical perspective of understanding the world on itself.

Containing books, paintings, photographs, films, engravings, documents and sculptures, artists from all over Europe will explain in this exhibition the satire, the incongruity, the surprise, the exaggeration and the monstrous and macabre reality of the world.
Meret Oppenheim
The base for The Grotesque Factor is to be found in the philosophical and literary definitions and theories of artists and scientists like Wolfgang Kayser or Mijáilovich Batjin (Михаи́л Миха́йлович Бахти́н).
Most of the shown works come from private collections and museums from all over the world.
