THE GOYESCA BULLFIGHTING

La Corrida Goyesca of Ronda is the most special date of the season. Also the most international, the legend has crossed borders and ronda is transformed, every first week of September, in a place of pilgrimage for "aficionados" and curious from around the worldthat come with the intention of making a leap back in time and immersed themselves in the aesthetic of bullfighting in the eighteenth century, which has been reflected in the palette of Francisco de Goya y Lucientes, from whom this unique event in the world of bullfighting has been named of.



La Goyesca is a creation of the Ordóñez family, chronologically the second saga of great bullfighters who gave the city of Tajo. Cayetano Ordóñez Araujo, son of the legendary Niño de la Palma, was the creator of the first edition of this event.
